THE RESTAURANT

Louis XIII Restaurant & Bar derives its name after King Louis XIII, a frequent visitor at Château de Beauvois who often enjoyed dining at the restaurant after a day filled with hunting. Executive Chef Régis Guilpain offers a menu that highlights local seasonal products while bringing a modernity and art to his cuisine, which is often described as exploding with flavors. Come enjoy a traditional Gastronomic French meal in an authentic French castle, and surround yourself with authentic stone walls and a grand wood-burning fireplace as you embark on a journey that will surely excite your senses.

Open daily for lunch from 12:15 PM to 2:00 PM and for dinner from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (April through mid-October)

Open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch from 12:15 PM to 2:00 PM and for dinner from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM (mid-October through March)

THE CHEF

Executive Chef Régis Guilpain arrived at the Louis XIII Restaurant in 1989 as a pastry chef and has since worked his way up in positions, now having been the Head Chef since 2001. Guilpain began his apprenticeship cooking at the Lycée Hôtelier de Blois where he earned his BEP and CAP culinary certifications. He continued training at the Albert Bayet School in Tours, France where he earned his CAP as a pastry chef, ice cream maker, and confectioner. After five additional years of training in various internships, he began working at Beauvois and has since worked at Beauvois under the leadership of three Michelin Star Chefs. Guilpain has been recognized by the Maître Cuisiniers de France, and in 2014 he earned his BTS in culinary art. He describes his work ethic in the kitchen as being obsessed with quality and passionate about his dishes while displaying rigor for perfection. Guilpain is known for creating colorful dishes with unique flavors and subtle textures.
